Tusharda

Tusharda's passing is such an incredible shock! He went about his quiet, dignified, manner always present to lend a hand or offer his support. He will be missed tremendously. Sumitada and Shayok, we are thinking of you...

Tushar-da was, although seemingly aloof, but always in touch with the pulse of the community (if you knew him well, that is). I have had the good fortune of working with him in the 1996 TSDP at Cincy, and we still have fond memories of the Food Committee.

A member of the "Mukti Bahini", Tushar-da left Bangladesh the night Sheikh Mujib was murdered. He came to the United States by way of Germany, where he pursued graduate studies at the University of Hamburg.

A gentleman to the core, Tusharda will forever be remembered for his smile and his willingness to lend a hand at the community gatherings. He passed on that sense of community feeling to his son Shayok.

May His Smiling Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.

Meanwhile, we will miss his broad, soul-full smile.
