Dear Community Members,
Rabindra Nazrul Jayanti is around the corner. We are in the process of preparation, as we do every year. You would have seen the request for brochure articles. Please encourage family members to contribute to the brochure.
We are also starting to get individual request for participation in the cultural program. We would like to put some structure around that. To begin with - let us know if your children would like to perform - we need to know what you are proposing for them to present. We usually get an overwhelming response to such requests; while that is very much appreciate, we may also have to use some common sense discretion.
The community would like to see more group programs over individual programs - so if you can organize a group of kids and propose a program that will be most appreciated and welcome. Children who are not performing at BangaMela will certainly have more time for rehearsals. It goes without saying that all programs will have to be connected to the RNJ theme.
Currently there is a proposal for a dance sequence for girls in the age group of four to seven (plus or minus a couple of years). Parents with girls in that age group who may be interested - please get in touch with any of the EC members at the soonest.
We are looking forward to an exciting RNJ 2008.
Agrani EC
